Breakfast on the Farm this morning (VIDEOS added)
They are serving free breakfast until 11 a.m. today in rural Kensington/Hoffman at the Dan and Kay Persons farm. This free Breakfast on the Farm event is hosted by Pope and Grant County Farm Bureau and many other businesses and organizations from the area. This event has been heavily advertised in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper dating back to at least the August 10 issue. All the details are in the newspaper!
Also today: the Sunburg Trolls Car Club classic car show at Willie Reigstad baseball field and their town's community center is today. The event concludes at 2 p.m. with the awards ceremony. Breakfast is being served there (for a small price) at Hope Lutheran Church through 9:30 a.m. This event was advertised in the last three newspaper issues.
Here's video of yesterday's lesson, Gospel and sermon at West Lake Johanna Lutheran church:
Sam Sanders, Brooten Class of 1968, was the reader of the lessons. His daughter, Michelle, is the only B-B-E fastpitch player to pitch a win in a sub-section championship game. She graduated in 2012 and is now a doctor! How cool is that!
The heat wave continues...my spare time is bottled up by keeping our family garden alive. It pinches any time I have for sports reporting. We topped out at 98 degrees in Brooten yesterday. I did get a video posted to the newspaper website from Bagley, click on this link to see that: http://tinyurl.com/yuxan7c7.
**Here's a video from this morning at Rafter P Ranch...it was a great event!
Time to get back to watering the garden. For the record! We topped out again at 98 degrees today in the Bonanza Valley.
