A night of multiple wins (VIDEOS)
A new blog post is coming on Thursday after a trip back home from Fergus Falls...on Thursday my wife and I meet with Dr. Anthony Rooney! He is an oncologist in Fergus Falls and was a graduate of B-B-E schools in 2009; many of you may remember him as a dedicated member of the Jaguar athletic programs and also the B-B-E speech team!
A big night on the home mats went the way of the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team against three opponents as they concluded the regular season. They chalked up three wins, and the final was the best of them all in a 46-18 win against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville.
In the first match, the Jaguars defeated Crosby-Ironton 73-0 to earn back-to-back shut out team wins. They followed that with a 66-12 win against Section 5A member BOLD.
Against LPGE/Browerville, the Jaguars trailed 18-0 through 127 pounds. At 133, Louie Tensen wrestled a fine match and earned a 12-4 major decision win. The Jaguars kept the hammer down and racked up wins the rest of the way with 46 unanswered points. In a big match up of state-ranked wrestlers, No. 1-ranked Maximus Hanson earned a 5-0 decision win against No. 4-ranked Mason Bruder.
Here's a video from the LPGE/Browerville match, with Louie Tensen battling at 133 pounds:
The Jaguars take an 18-2 dual meet record into the Section 5A tournament, which begins back on the same mats at B-B-E high school on Thursday, February 15. Spread the word!

Also in a home event tonight, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team stayed in the winning column with a 70-58 win against visiting Kimball Area. At halftime: B-B-E 33, Kimball 27. They improve to 12-7 overall with the win and move to 5-4 in the Central Minnesota Conference to continue holding fourth place.
