It did not take long for the Jaguars to settle in with three new starters on the floor along with returning veterans Adley Hagen and Bree Thieschafer. Through two minutes, the score was tied 5-5 after Melrose Area scored on a three-pointer. With 40 seconds left, the Dutchmen drained a fastbreak shot to make it 34-21. Kacey Fischer drained two free throws in the last 30 seconds for the 36-21 halftime lead.
