A sudden and tragic loss of a B-B-E graduate
While I did not hear full details on what happened, I was crushed to hear about the sudden passing of a member of the B-B-E Class of 2002. Courtney Mithaugen, daughter of the late Chip Mithaugen of Brooten (Class of 1982) and Michele Lemcke of Brooten (Class of 1984), passed away on Sunday, January 19.
Her full obituary has been posted at the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper website, click here: https://shorturl.at/Sd9EB. Courtney was a Jaguar student-athlete at B-B-E and also served on the student council among many other activities.
Chip Mithaugen passed away on January 6, 2022.
Cassie Mithaugen, who was a second cousin of Courtney, was killed one year ago by an impaired driver (drugs) on January 22. He is still in the legal system, and his sentencing is coming some time this spring. Courtney's grandpa Harold Mithaugen is an older brother to Cassie's father, Donald.
In sports news...
The girls' basketball (C, B, A-squad) games at Kimball Area have been postponed. Kimball schools were closed today. That's all I know.
