Cameron Loe saves the day: Jaguars win walk-off vs. Cowboys (VIDEO)

In one of the most exciting playoff wins in memory for the B-B-E Jaguars baseball team, their season stays alive at least one more game after they won a walk-off by a 7-6 score against Breckenridge today. The game in Morris featured plenty of adversity for the Jaguars to overcome. The sixth and seventh inning proved huge, as they scored 5 needed runs for the win across those two frames.

With two in scoring position, junior Cameron Loe (No. 7 hitter) crushed a 2 RBI-double to left-center and the outfield fence. Game over! B-B-E 7, Breckenridge 6.

Luke Illies earned the pitching win in relief of starter Aiden Mueller. It was a tremendous effort by both pitchers to hold off a talented Cowboys team.

More to come, including what happens next. UPDATE: the next game is set to begin at about 2:30 p.m. back in Morris, according to what Brady said on Smooth Magic 107. I will check around and see what I find out.

UPDATE: due to a storm delay, the Jaguars will play at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3 back in Morris. This will be another elimination game. The opponent will be Border West or Brandon-Evansville.

UPDATE on Monday night: in their next Section 6A elimination bracket game, the Jaguars (16-7 overall) will face Border West in a rematch of last Thursday's first game of the day. The Border West Buccaneers prevailed in another exciting game today at Morris by a 9-7 score against Brandon-Evansville. The Chargers, champions of the Little Eight Conference this spring, finish 15-8 overall.

Here's a video from the Upsala/Swanville Area game last Thursday; featuring a top of the 7th inning rally that was not enough:

The U/SA Patriots won that game by a 3-1 score to advance in the winner's bracket.

I don't have Border West's precise overall record; their games are incomplete on Minnesotascores-dot-net, which is extremely strange considering that the QRF scale was used for seeding purposes.

In other news...
The Bonanza Valley area received over an inch of much-needed rain this afternoon. The rain fell mid-afternoon, and Brooten received about 1 1/4 inches.

In case you missed it, I encourage you to watch the Brooten American Legion Memorial Day program! It was fantastic. You can see it by clicking over to the newspaper's website: https://shorturl.at/OBvPt.
