GAME DAY! Back in Stevens County (RADIO, UPDATES, VIDEO)

The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team is taking on Breckenridge in an elimination game of the Section 6A tournament. First pitch from Chizek Field in Morris is at 11 a.m. The Jaguars (15-7) are the home team on the scoreboard. The Cowboys are the No. 5 seed out of Sub-Section 6A-North and have a huge, huge win to their credit as they eliminated Prairie Conference champion Long Prairie-Grey Eagle from the playoffs by a 6-5 win last Thursday in Browerville. Breckenridge's overall record is 12-9. In the Heart O' Lakes Conference, they went 7-5 to take fourth place.

Border West and Brandon-Evansville are playing in the other elimination game this morning in Morris.

First pitch is at 10:57 a.m. for B-B-E's game following the playing of the National Anthem. The starting pitcher for Breckenridge enters the game with a 5-1 season record. For B-B-E, sophomore Aiden Mueller is our starter on the mound.

After the top of the first: Breckenridge 1, B-B-E 0.
After one inning complete: Breckenridge 1, B-B-E 0; the Jaguars stranded a leadoff double, as Brett DeRoo was left at third base on 2 pop fly balls and a ground out.
After two complete innings: Breckenridge 2, B-B-E 1; Cameron Loe's RBI-single got the Jaguars on the board.
After the top of the third: Breckenridge 2, B-B-E 1.
After three complete innings: Breckenridge 2, B-B-E 1; the Jaguars left one runner stranded.
After the top of the fourth: Breckenridge 3, B-B-E 1.
After four complete innings: Breckenridge 3, B-B-E 2; Cameron Loe hit his second RBI-single of the game to get the Jaguars back to a one-run deficit.
After five complete innings: Breckenridge 3, B-B-E 2. The Jaguars left a tying run at second base after suffering three pop fly outs, including one on a bunt attempt.
After the top of the sixth: Breckenridge 6, B-B-E 2.
After six complete innings: Breckenridge 6, B-B-E 5; the Jaguars left 2 runners in scoring position.

So far, through 6 innings of the game, the Jaguars have left 5 runners stranded in scoring position.

In fastpitch state tournament news...
The Wabasso Rabbits, champions of Section 3A with a 19-6 record, have earned the No. 5 seed in the Class 1A state tournament in Mankato. They open with a state quarterfinal game tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5:30 p.m. from Caswell Park. The opponent will be the No. 4-seeded Braham Bombers, who won the Section 4A title. Defending state runner-up Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, champions of Section 6A with a 23-1 record, was seeded No. 2 at state and opens with Bethlehmem Academy on Tuesday in their quarterfinal game.
