The B-B-E/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team will host their home invitational tonight, Tuesday, January 20 at the elementary school in Brooten. Doors open at 4 p.m. for tickets, and gymnasium doors open at 5:30 for spectators. The National Anthem will be played at 5:55 p.m. with the invitational performances to follow. Teams invited include Sauk Centre, Litchfield, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg and Canby/Minneota.
Also tonight...and unfortunately, I'll have to miss it...the Belgrade city council meets at 6 p.m. in a regular meeting. A summary of the meeting agenda has been posted at the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper's editor's blog: BelgradeCityCouncilagenda.
HALFTIME in Belgrade: the girls' basketball team has a 32-27 lead over EV-W. The five B-B-E starters all have between 5 and 8 points at the break. More to come later tonight in a new blog post.
