Lady Jaguars Basketball Picks up Big CMC Win, 66-56 Over Maple Lake -- Jaguars Wrestling Lose 34-33 Dual to Kimball
Tonight the Lady Jaguars basketball team hosted the Maple Lake Irish for their fourth conference game of the season. Both teams entered the game tied at 2-3 in the CMC, and are currently fighting for a top-four seed in Sub-Section 5AA-20. They stepped up their game considerably compared to the previous week and came away with a hard-fought 66-56 win, lifting them to 3-3 in the CMC (tied for 4th with Pierz) and 5-6 overall.
After playing catch-up the entire first half, the Lady Jaguars came on strong after going 10-deep on the roster and exploding for a 10-0 run to take control of the second half. Their 66-56 varsity win came on the heels of a 45-27 C-squad win and a 42-35 B-squad win for the Lady Jaguars.
They now enter the tougher part to their schedule, beginning next week when they host three teams on Monday/Tuesday/Friday. Next Friday (Jan 26) the Lady Jaguars begin their second trip through the conference schedule when they host the Holdingford Huskers (2-4 CMC, 4-9).
