No Games Today... Rain Cancels Outdoor Action

The B-B-E area received some much-needed rain today, and it should continue through the weekend. The home softball and baseball games were cancelled, and may not be re-scheduled at this point since both were non-conference games.

The Jaguars boys golf team traveled to Pierz on Thursday. They finished the Central Minnesota Conference meet tied for fourth place with Maple Lake with a 186. Pierz and Rockford tied for first place overall with a score of 158. The team was slated to be part of a huge 19-team golf tournament in Benson today, beginning at 8:00am. The rain this morning most likely stopped that in its track.

Next action, coming up on Monday, includes: Lady Jaguars softball hosts Rockford (5:00), Jaguars baseball travels to Rockford, the boys and girls golf teams both travel to Annandale for a joint golf meet that begins at 2:00.

*Note: The Minnewaska baseball game against our Jaguars has been re-scheduled to May 11, a home game at Saints Field. Also, a CMC game at Holdingford for the Lady Jaguars softball team has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 4:00.

The softball playoff opener in Sub-Section 5A-West is May 17. The baseball playoff opener in Sub-Section 5A-South is May 24.

Let's hope the rain our area farmers badly need continues all weekend, then breaks for sunshine on Monday!
