Jaguars Baseball Team Picks up Huge Road Win at Royalton, Defending Section 5A Champions -- Fastpitch Drops Extra-Inning Game to Rockford

The Jaguars baseball team (6-2 overall, 5-2 CMC) put themselves in the thick of the race for a number-one playoff seed in Sub-Section 5A South with their 5-4 win at Royalton today.

The Jaguars fastpitch team fell to 6-4 overall with a 4-3 loss to Class AA Rockford (8-3 CMC, 9-4) in eight innings. It's their second 1-run loss of the season in a game against a Class AA opponent. They sit at 5-3 in the CMC, in a virtual tie for second place with the Rockets.
