Jaguars Football Coach Mike Richards resigns post - applications sought for new head coach through December 1
Coach Richards gives a post-game speech to the team after winning the 2008 home opener, a 31-13 drubbing of Rockford on September 12th.
Coach Richards served the Jaguars Football program with a passion for the game and for his teams, leading the Blue and Silver on the gridiron for the past five seasons.
His best mark came in 2008, when the Jaguars went 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the very tough Central Minnesota Conference.
Playoff wins were earned in Section 5A in 2006 and 2008.
The overall mark for the Jaguars from 2005 through this season was 14-32. The fourteen wins equals the number of victories under previous head coach Paul Beuning (1994-2004). The Jaguars' second head coach, Bob Beliveau, won 11 games from the 1989 season through his resignation in 1994.
In the Jaguars' first season, 1988, Coach Dennis Weimerskirch led the team to an 8-2 final record, including a 7-1 regular season, a 4-0 mark in the Prairie Lakes Conference, and a 1-1 showing in Section 4B.
