Area prep results from Thursday night

Sub-Section 5A-West fastpitch championship:
Osakis 12, Kimball Area 4 (both advance to the 5A final four next week)

Barnum defeated Braham 7-0 in the 5A-East championship game.

Section 6AA fastpitch playoffs:
Rocori 11, Paynesville Area 1 (6 innings)
St.Cloud Cathedral 11, Holdingford 1 (5 innings)

Nine of Cathedral's 11 runs were unearned. The Huskers take a 15-5 overall record into the Section 6AA tournament, which begins for them with an elimination game at 5pm next Tuesday against Paynesville Area.

Sub-Section 5A-West baseball play-in round:
Kimball Area 6, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 1 (Kimball Area faces #1-seed Eden Valley-Watkins tonight in the quarterfinals)

Today for the Jaguars...
The Jaguars' boys and girls golf teams travel the short trip to the Minnewaska Golf Course on the east side of Glenwood for the Sub-Section 5A-North meet. The first groups tee off at 9:30am.

The Jaguars' baseball team travels to Upsala for the Sub-Section 5A-West quarterfinals. They face the #3-seed Upsala/Swanville Area Patriots, looking to not only advance in the playoffs but also avenge a tough nine-inning loss to USA on April 20.
