Eden Valley-Watkins caps perfect season with a state championship today

The Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles baseball team finished the season 27-0 after defeating Sebeka 7-4 in the Class A state championship today at Target Field in Minneapolis. They came back from a 3-1 deficit that stood after two innings were complete. The Trojans (21-6) led 4-1 before the Eagles made their run.

The Eagles won the Central Minnesota Conference championship earlier this season.

It is the first state championship for Eden Valley-Watkins since 2005, when their football team won the Class AA state title after going 6-2 in the regular season.
