More on the Benson FibroMinn girls basketball invitational

The Maccray Wolverines face Prairie Seeds Academy in the opening round of the Benson FibroMinn Invitational this week Friday. Tip-off is at 6:00pm.

About 25 minutes after the completion of that game, the host Benson Braves take on the Jaguars girls basketball team.

Benson, who was 21-7 overall last year and finished runners-up in Sub-Section 6AA-West, returns one starter and six letterwinners. They finished 12-4 (2nd) in the West Central South Conference.

Maccray won the Camden North Conference title last year with a 13-2 record. The Wolverines made a deep run in the Section 3A playoffs, losing in the North sub-section championship to Canby 60-55 to finish 22-5 overall. They return three very talented starters along with two letterwinners from last year.
