Jaguars boys basketball wins 53-33 over Paynesville in a typically difficult border battle between the neighboring schools

After leading 16-8 at halftime, the Jaguars boys basketball team built a double digit lead early in the second half and went on to win convincingly over the Paynesville Area Bulldogs in a non-conference border battle tonight. Now 14-0, the Jaguars have established a new record for consecutive wins in basketball at B-B-E. The previous record was set in 2001-2002 during a 13-0 start to the season.

Earlier in the night, the Jaguars B-squad team won 50-39 over the Bulldogs.

The Jaguars have little time for rest, as they gear up for a trip out west to Hancock on Tuesday night. The Owls are members of Sub-Section 6A-South with the Jaguars, so it will be an important game to set the tone for playoff seeding in March.

Tonight's game was aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood. D-Mac, as usual, provided outstanding coverage for the team, including very nice post-game interviews of Brady Koehler and Kirby Montbriand.

Player introduction prior to tip off tonight...the first 20 seconds are rough, I got there late and was putting my tripod on the camera after I started recording.

Tip off and the opening 30 seconds of the game...
