Jaguars baseball hosts playoff opener next Thursday

Seeded number eight for the upcoming Sub-Section 5A-West playoffs, the Jaguars baseball team will host Pillager in a play-in round game on Thursday, May 26. First pitch is set for 5:00 at Saints Field in Elrosa.

The Pillager Huskies are 3-11 overall heading into their non-conference game today against Browerville. The Huskies compete in the Park Region Conference in baseball, where they sit in 7th place out of 8 teams with a 2-9 league record.

If the Jaguars beat Pillager in the playoff opener, they would travel to Eden Valley-Watkins for the sub-section quarterfinals on May 30 at 5 p.m. The semi-finals are May 31 in Cold Spring, with the championship also in Cold Spring on June 2. The Section 5A Final Four tournament is on June 6, 7 and 9 at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.
