Volleyball results from the Albany tournament, won by state-ranked Maple Lake

Maple Lake, who will be the top competitor with the Jaguars volleyball team for the Central Minnesota Conference crown this fall, was rated sixth in the preseason Class AA coaches' poll. The Jaguars were rated seventh in the Class A poll.

Last season, Maple Lake had their second-best season ever in school history (in terms of wins/losses) by going 22-8 and finishing in second place in Section 5AA. They were 6-1 in the CMC, one game behind the Jaguars. In 2009, Maple Lake finished 19-5 overall and also in second place in Section 5A.
