(Herald video clip) LPHT narrows the deficit to 21-14 late in the third quarter

The Bulldogs, after falling behind 21-6 in the third quarter, were driving it down field with relative ease on their next series. They advanced into B-B-E territory and had 2nd-and-10 around the 40. Alex Heigl passed over the middle, when B-B-E's Austin Kollman leaped up and snared the football. On his reach up, he was able to corral the ball and bring it down, but he had so much momentum from running hard to where the ball was thrown that he ended up juggling the ball a couple of times as he came down with it and ultimately dropped it as he fell to the ground.

Sam Scoblic scored on the next play (I think it was the next play) on a sweep to the left and it was 21-14 just like that. Kollman's near-interception that I described above was just one of numerous plays that B-B-E came up just barely short on.

It was that kind of game. The ball just wasn't going to bounce B-B-E's way in that second half.
