Girls' basketball scores tonight around the area, plus an update for the Jaguars girls' team

Area girls' basketball results on Nov. 29 for many teams' season openers...
Eden Valley-Watkins 60, New London-Spicer 57
Foley 32, Becker 27
Wadena-Deer Creek 69, Pierz 59

Holdingford 39, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 37
Kimball Area 52, Milaca 25
Sauk Centre 44, St. Cloud Cathedral 27 (Streeters led 22-10 at halftime; Macy Weller led Sauk Centre with 16 points)

The season opener for the Jaguars girls' basketball team is this Friday night in Benson. There will be no FibroMinn tournament, however. I heard tonight that one of the four teams backed out. On Friday, the Jaguars will play Benson. My guess is, the third team that was still in the tournament will play Benson on Saturday night. I am not sure on when tip-off for the Jaguars vs. Braves game will be on Friday.

It's all "game on" for the Jaguars boys' basketball team. They're out at West Central Area in Barrett this weekend for a tournament on Friday and Saturday nights.
