Jaguar wrestlers, girls' basketball loses tonight
Taylor Braegelman, closely guarded by Sauk Centre's Ashley Gruber, makes a move to the basket during tonight's loss to the Mainstreeters...

In the home wrestling match tonight, the Jaguars fared well at some of the upper weights. Dillon Knutson (182 lbs.) won by Tech Fall over a guy who previously beat him this season. At heavyweight, varsity rookie Jared Steffensen won by pin to cap the match's scoring.
On a scheduling note, the wrestling team's tournament this Friday begins at 2:30 p.m., not 3:30 as I stated a couple days ago and as was published on page B3 of this week's Sauk Centre Herald.
**Update...it's always good to come away from Eden Valley with a win, and tonight the Jaguars boys' basketball team did just that by a 60-48 score. The Jaguars built a 27-20 lead by halftime, but in the second half they went on a tear and built a 55-30 after 10 minutes had passed.
They'll put their 8-0 record (1-0 Central Minnesota Conference) on the line this Friday with a tough road trip to Maple Lake.
More will follow later.
