Jaguars just about double up on Rockford, improve to 10-0

The Jaguars lit up the Rockets in the opening stages of the second half...after leading 42-25 at the break.

Below, the first half wraps up...

A fast-paced first half played out with the Rockets attempting to run a track meet with the Jaguars boys' basketball team. They entered the game with a much smaller lineup and made the correct assumption that running a half court offense probably wouldn't go well.

The Rockets stuck with the Jaguars for the first 12 minutes or so, fighting back from an early 13-2 hole to trail 22-16 with just over six minutes left.

In the final two minutes of the first half, the Jaguars poured it on and took a 42-25 lead into the break.

The second half did not start well for Rockford, as the Jaguars (10-0) scored 11 unanswered points out of the locker room in the first 4:20 of the second period to lead 53-25.

With 5:50 left, the Jaguars led 70-36, as their size and speed had all but worn out Rockford's main lineup of varsity players.

Final: B-B-E 75, Rockford 38.
