It's two trips in a row! the B-B-E Jaguars are STATE-bound once again!
The "White Out" worked to perfection tonight...it was something else, to be honest, watching the Jaguars dismantle the Cougars...below, two B-B-E seniors are all smiles following the game and medals ceremony, both members of last fall's Jaguar football team...
That's a lot of Goodwins in one place! Wow!
The final score at Memorial Auditorium read B-B-E 80, Ada-Borup 38 at the final buzzer tonight in the Section 6A championship game. B-B-E's defense completely suffocated the Cougars' offense. It's not much of a stretch to say that they were never in the game.
After the win, Coach Montbriand commented, "Our defense was super active tonight. We were moving our feet and getting at their passing lanes. When we do that, it's very tough on the other team."
Montbriand confirmed that Class A will seed the state tournament with a coaches' vote on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m.
Here's some action from the 2nd half...
...and here's the starter introduction...
Noteworthy: only one Cougar player got into double figures in scoring, sophomore JD Cappes with 11; Ada-Borup's 1,000-point scorer Jace Hennen, was held to nine points on only three field goals and one free throw. For B-B-E, Connor Goodwin piled up 23 points, followed by Brian Goodwin with 16, James Kuefler with 12, Billy Borgerding with 11, Kirby Montbriand with 7, Trey Heinsius with 6, Adam Heinze with 4 and David Rodgers with 2.
More will follow well after midnight tonight, after I get home.
On the trip home (as a passenger) I noticed that I only took about 480 pictures. I've never taken that many pictures at an event, as I only had around 390 at last year's boys' basketball section final in Morris.
For what it's worth, here's my second album containing mostly action photos from the Battle Lake game. I am not sure if I've posted this already, but here it is again:

The B-B-E Pep Band was outstanding tonight in Moorhead...they even picked up somewhere around 6 to 8 alumni who added to the band numbers...
