Update from Halenbeck Hall

Sauk Centre's girls' basketball team won its third straight Section 6AA title tonight by defeating Litchfield 49-35 at SCSU. The Mainstreeters (25-4) open up the state tournament next Wednesday at the Target Center against Section 3AA champion Worthington.

Ada-Borup defeated Parkers Prairie 71-58 to win the Section 6A championship on Friday night. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted was defeated by Providence Academy in the Section 5AA championship 56-33. Isle upset Upsala 78-61 in the Section 5A championship.

While I've got your attention...don't forget, the basketball game at UM-Morris on Saturday night begins at 6:00pm. The Jaguars will take on #4-seeded Henning in the Sub-Section 6A-South semifinals. In the following game, #2-seed Battle Lake faces #3-seed Ashby.
