B-B-E Jaguars lead by 16 at halftime vs. MACCRAY

Brian Goodwin scored the first 10 points for the Jaguars and met 1,000 points. In the first two minutes of the game, Goodwin scored two three-pointers and two two-pointers to meet the lofty plateau.
At halftime Goodwin has 14.

The Jaguars shot out to a commanding 24-12 lead before the Wolverines fought back to get it down to 28-24 with seven minutes left. B-B-E surged ahead before the first buzzer after Billy Borgerding started a rally with a tip-in bucket and then a three-pointer for a 33-24 lead with 6 minutes left.

Halftime score: B-B-E 45, MACCRAY 29. The Wolverines hit a three-pointer (Carter Asche, 6'8" sophomore) on the right baseline corner at the buzzer.

**Update: the Wolverines didn't earn a field goal until 6 minutes had elapsed in the second half. The Jaguars really cranked up the defense after halftime and put on a show for the packed hometown crowd.

Final: B-B-E 76, MACCRAY 51. Goodwin tallied 29 points in the game. Other scoring for B-B-E included James Kuefler with 14, Billy Borgerding with 11, Trey Heinsius with 12, David Rodgers with 4 and then Nick Benton, Austin Imdieke and Alex Wosmek all with two points apiece.

MACCRAY (7-2, 5-1 Camden North Conference) was led by sophomore Carter Asche with 19 and junior Bailey Boike with 18. The Wolverines are going to be a load for whoever they play over the next two years. (A trip to Clara City next year will be exciting!)
