A neat story from the Osakis Review
I'm not sure when it closed, probably about 2 years ago, but when Jim's Quality Foods closed their doors in Osakis it was a big loss for their communiy.
I just read in the Osakis Review that they are getting their grocery store back. A family who operates and owns a grocery store in Frazee has bought the old grocery store in Osakis and will reopen it in May.

I can't emphasize enough how lucky Brooten and Belgrade are to have small town grocery stores still open for business today. If you ever get a chance to talk to the owners of those stores, please thank them for all they do for our B-B-E community.
On another note, I have been buried under school board-related news in Sauk Centre in the past two weeks that has eaten heavily into my blogging time. Their school is facing $300,000 in cuts to balance their budget for 2013-14. It's not pretty.
