Jaguar boys' basketball drubs Minnewaska

The first Border Battle of the season for the Jaguars boys' basketball team had a final score of 72-40 tonight against Minnewaska Area. The Jaguars went on an 18-0 run to start the 2nd half after they led 48-27 at halftime. The Lakers fell to 1-3 with the loss. B-B-E shot 31-for-60 from the floor compared to 10-of-38 field goal shooting by Minnewaska. Nick Benton had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.
At halftime of both the JV and varsity games tonight, the B-B-E Dazzlers dance team performed for the packed hometown crowd. Their competitive season starts next Saturday (Dec. 14) at Albany.
D-Mac called tonight's game on Smooth Magic 107 FM. It was his second broadcast of a B-B-E Jaguar varsity event for the winter season. He'll have Coach Montbriand on the air at 7:30am Saturday to talk shop on Smooth Magic's Coaches Roundup.
