Two Jaguars finish with silver

Sophomore Colby Schramel is shown working his way out of the grips of his Watertown-Mayer opponent who he defeated to take 5th place in the 138-pound division tonight in Paynesville.

Adam Jaeger and Ben Feuerhake led the Jaguars wrestling team tonight with second-place finishes at 126 and 285, respectively, at the Paynesville tournament. Ben Thompson placed 4th at 170, Colby Schramel earned 5th place at 138 and Alex Schramel won a 9-5 decision over a Paynesville wrestler to take 3rd place at 152.

**Missed these results: Kaleb Voss and Josey Tensen both took third place. As a team, the Jaguars got 8th place with 90 points. Watertown-Mayer/Mayer Lutheran was champion by a wide margin with 217.5 points, while Sartell-St. Stephen took second with 164.5 points.

Up next for the Jaguars is a Central Minnesota Conference triangular next Tuesday at Pierz. The third team is section rival Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.

Sort of odd...I just realized that MACCRAY must have only one gymnasium in their high school. Perhaps there's some other reason why they're stacking the C, B and varsity games all back-to-back rather than running the C- and B-squad games concurrently on Saturday afternoon. The varsity game between our Jaguars boys' basketball team and the Wolverines starts at 3:00pm.
