3rd annual Gary Fauskee Memorial tournament is Saturday

Gary Fauskee, Brooten Class of 1976, shown in his Dana College baseball uniform. He pitched at Dana College after his highly successful career as a four-sport Buccaneers athlete at BHS.

The third annual Gary Fauskee Memorial old-timers softball tournament is Saturday afternoon (1-4pm) at Quisberg Park. Mushball and possibly kickball depending on how many kids attend the event will also be a part of the event. It's one of an endless list of activities for all ages at Bonanza Valley Days, which runs Friday through Sunday in Brooten.

The Gary Fauskee tournament, through a free-will donation, supports the Gary Fauskee Memorial scholarship, which started in 2013. Fauskee died in an accident at his home in rural New London on July 23, 2011.
