Let's build up the excitement for the 2014-2015 wrestling season!

This week, Thursday night, mark your calendar and bring the family in for an exciting wrestling border battle between our Jaguars and the Paynesville Area Bulldogs at the high school. The varsity dual should begin shortly after 7 p.m.

The Jaguars had an outstanding showing a their season-opening tournament last Wednesday and finished in second place behind Class 3A Maple Grove. They have put in their dues in a tough preseason and are ready for the dual meet schedule to begin.

Our first-year head coach, Jack Mueller, is a Paynesville graduate and former wrestler in the highly-decorated Bulldogs program.

I haven't scouted one bit of information yet on Paynesville or how solid they'll be this season, but I do know that our Jaguars will challenge them up and down the lineup and make for an exciting atmosphere on our home mats.
