Friday Night Lights VI: wrecking ball
With great blocking by his teammates, Tanner Heinsius (1) runs for a big gain against K-M-S on this play. |
The B-B-E Jaguars football team made a mess of the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Homecoming game tonight and took home a 34-8 win from Murdock in Mid-State District action. The Jaguars led 22-0 at halftime and scored twice for a 34-0 lead in the third quarter before the JV teams took over on both sides of the ball. The Fighting Saints JV team scored the game's final touchdown.
The Jaguars (3-3 overall, 3-2 Mid-State Sub-District 3) racked up 388 yards of offense compared to 147 by K-M-S; the rushing yardage was heavily in the favor of the Jaguars (280 to 93).
Next is a tough, tough game at Swanville at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 2. The Upsala/Swanville Area Patriots beat a good Royalton team 26-7 to improve to 5-1 on the season and 4-1 in the district.
