Opener success
The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team won 7-5 in their playoff opener tonight over No. 7-seeded Browerville/Eagle Valley. They led 7-0 after two innings and then hung on for a wild ride in the last two innings when the Tigers scored three times in the sixth inning and twice more in the top of the seventh.
Now 11-9 overall, the Jaguars play at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 at Minnewaska Area high school's baseball stadium. The opponent will be No. 3-seeded Brandon/Evansville, who won 2-1 in 12 innings over No. 6-seeded Upsala/Swanville Area tonight in another quarterfinal game.
