Friday Night Lights I

The season opener was rough for the B-B-E Jaguars football team. The Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons posted a 14-0 halftime lead and scored the first touchdown of the second half on a 71-yard catch by Josh Kinzler to go up 22-0 with 10:26 on the clock in the third quarter.

For B-B-E, the first-string and second-string offense both scored touchdowns.

Final score for the Week One season opener: A-C-GC 41, B-B-E 12.

Next for the Jaguars is a trip to Kimball Area (0-1) next Friday, Sept. 8. The Cubs lost 40-0 to Eden Valley-Watkins on Thursday night this week in their season opener. EV-W took second place in the Class 2A state tournament last fall.
