Homecoming volleyball night

Coach Weller gives his post-match talk to the Jaguars following their Homecoming win by sweep!

We had a terrific crowd tonight for the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team's Homecoming match, and school spirit in Jaguar Country could not be better!

The Jaguars had a tough opponent on tap: the Kimball Area Cubs, defending Section 5A champion and a fellow sub-section rival.

Tied 9-9 in game one, the Jaguars took charge and surged ahead 21-12 before winning 25-20. They ran on great starts in games two and three, ahead 5-0 and 4-0, respectively. In game two the Jaguars built leads of 14-5 and 21-8 before crushing the Cubs 25-12. They led 14-7 in game three, then 19-11, before the Cubs made a late rally to close the lead to just two points. B-B-E finished off the match with a 25-22 win to improve to 3-1 in the Central Minnesota Conference and 11-8 overall.

The Jaguars have a long break now until traveling to second-place Holdingford next Thursday, Oct. 5.

Below is video from the end of the match:
