Conference opener success

The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team won their Central Minnesota Conference opener via a 3-0 sweep, although they had to climb well into extra points in the first set to get on the right track at Howard Lake.

Game scores were 28-26, 25-16, 25-19. The match at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted high school was a battle between two teams that tied for second place in the CMC last year.

If B-B-E wants any chance at their first CMC title since 2015, tonight was a must-win situation. And they delivered the goods!

Next: a very short turnaround as they open up the Southwest Minnesota Challenge tournament in Marshall at 5 p.m. tomorrow night!
