A win and a loss

The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team lost 71-50 at Parkers Prairie tonight. At halftime, the Panthers led just 33-31 but pulled away early in the second half. They are currently tied for first place in the Little Eight Conference.

The Panthers (10-3) was hot from the floor, making 56 percent of their field goal shots to help make up for poor 5-of-15 free throw shooting. The Jaguars (8-6) shot 39 percent from the floor and made five of 10 free throws.

Next is a home contest on Thursday against neighboring and conference rival Paynesville Area. It will be a fun night! The dance team will also perform at halftime of the JV and varsity games.

At Kimball Area, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team came away with a 56-44 conference win. Allisa Knight's 18 points paced the Jaguars, who shot 44 percent as a team from the floor and got to the free throw line just eight times on the night. They were good on three of those free attempts.

Next for the girls' basketball team (12-4, 4-2) is a road game against Holdingford on Friday.
