Wrestling playoffs

Osakis won their playoff opener 52-24 tonight over No. 10-seeded Ortonville in the Section 5A quarterfinals.

Through three weight classes, B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team is trailing 7-3 to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in their quarterfinal match.

Through 170 pounds: B-B-E has a 34-13 lead.

At 182, Mark Jenniges won a 5-2 decision over Ethan Peters. That handed the Jaguars the team win!

Final score: B-B-E 46, K-M-S 19. The Jaguars improve to 10-6 overall in duals.

Next: the Section 5A semifinals on Friday, February 15. The match will begin at 6 p.m. at the Benson high school. Their opponent will be top-seeded Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville (21-1).
