Playoff updates

The B-B-E Jaguars 12-U fastpitch team settled for a tie with a 1-1 score in the West Central League playoff championship game last night. Facing Freeport at the Osakis complex, the Jaguars tied the game 1-1 on a run by Kacie Fischer in the fifth inning. The game "ran out of light" and it was called as a tie as the sun set.

Earlier, the Jaguars beat Osakis 5-1 in the semifinal round.

In the American Junior Legion playoffs, the B-B-E Jaguars Legion squad won 1-0 over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City last night to advance in the double elimination North Sub-District tournament. Next for the Jaguars is a Thursday night game at 5 p.m. against No. 1-seeded Starbuck. It will be broadcast on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood.

The Jaguars are seeded No. 4 out of eight teams.
