Non-conference win

At halftime at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City high school, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team holds a 58-9 lead.

Final score: B-B-E 96, A-C-GC 22. The Jaguars improve to 14-8 overall.

The school record for points scored in a game was set on January 14, 2008. On that night, the Jaguars hosted E.C.H.O. Charter from Echo and won 111-28 in Brooten. Tonight's 96 points scored is the second-most scored in a game for a B-B-E girls' basketball team.

A-C-GC is 1-20 overall. They will join the Central Minnesota Conference next year to replace Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. In girls' basketball, the Falcons have struggled every year since 2012-2013, when they finished 11-15 overall. In 2011-2012, they went 14-12 in the last year they had a winning record (8-4 and tied for second in the West Central South Conference). In 2010-2011, they went 17-9, and they finished 20-4 the year before (16-0 WCC-South).

That's all for tonight. "Many irons in the fire."
