Both basketball teams win
B-B-E's varsity basketball teams remain undefeated on the young season after tonight's Central Minnesota Conference action was in the books. On the home court, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team won 72-35 over Kimball Area. At Royalton, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team picked up a 51-26 win in their first road game of the year.
The Royals fall to 1-1 on the season; they beat Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 59-37 in their season opener last Friday.
In the girls' basketball game, the Jaguars led 42-17 at halftime. Leading the way was Josie Knutson with 17 points, five steals and three rebounds. Also in double figures were Allisa Knight (10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) and Karissa Jones (11 points, 11 rebounds).
In the boys' basketball game, the Jaguars led 28-13 at halftime. Ashton Dingmann led the Jaguars with 12 points on four three-pointers plus 10 rebounds. Also in double figures and scoring 10 points each were Kaden Pieper and Ryan Schwinghammer.
