The B-B-E Jaguars football team won their second game in a row by defeating Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 28-22. They are 4-2 going into next week's home game with Browerville.
More updates to come in the morning.
An interception return for a touchdown by Ryan Jensen proved to be the difference-maker as it gave B-B-E a 28-8 lead in the third quarter. The Falcons scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to prevent them from falling to a 2-4 record.
A-C-GC gained 290 total yards of offense compared to 185 yards for B-B-E. The Falcons totaled 228 rushing yards compared to just 12 for the Jaguars. B-B-E's Luke Dingmann was 8-of-18 for 173 passing yards with three touchdowns, all to Blaine Fischer.
Next is the toughest game of the season so far when the Jaguars host Browerville for Parents Night on Friday, October 15. The Tigers are 3-3 overall, but the three losses are to teams who have a cumulative record of 17-1.
