Winter sports set to go from 0 to 100 mph (updated)
The varsity winter sports season ramps up in a big way next week at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa with all four sports getting underway:
The girls' basketball team opens on Tuesday, November 30 at Melrose Area high school.
The boys’ basketball opens on Thursday, December 2 at home against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg. *This game will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood.
The wrestling team hosts the Jaguar Invite on Friday, December 3 to start their season.
The B-B-E/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team travels to Minnewaska on December 3 for their season opener.
Also, the girls' basketball team travels to Pine River-Backus on Friday, December 3 for another non-conference game. That game will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood.
And here's a short clip from the musical:
That musical clip features an example of how complicated and difficult many of the scenes were. The performers did such a fantastic job.
In other news...you can watch Thanksgiving Eve worship at East Norway Lake Lutheran church by clicking over to the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper website (short link): https://bit.ly/3CSw7bq.

Are we willing to find out what went wrong with these young athletes? Or do we just shrug our shoulders and accept it?
