Victory on a rain-soaked night (VIDEO, UPDATED)

I'll be taking "quite a bit" of my Saturday off from work before resuming my reporting later tonight. Below is a video from the second quarter last night. The B-B-E Jaguars football team gained the lead with this two-point conversion reception.

B-B-E pulls ahead 8-6 on this play at Swanville:

Final score: B-B-E 16, Upsala/Swanville Area 12. The Jaguars played their hearts out against a team that was equally worthy of the win.

**Be sure to get out to Swift Falls today, as Brinks Beer Joint hosts their annual Turkey Fest celebration. This is always a great event, as Ben Honebrink and his friendly staff do a fabulous job as hosts.

We also have the Braaten Barn Dance starting at 4:00 p.m. in Eastern Pope County. These events have been published/advertised in recent newspaper issues!!!

The B-B-E Jaguars JV football team is set to host Upsala/Swanville Area on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the high school football stadium.

At the midpoint of the regular season, the varsity football team sits in a tie for third place with Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in the Mid-State, Sub-District III standings. Each team has a 3-1 record. Tied for first place are the undefeated teams of No. 2-ranked (Class 1A) BOLD and No. 9-ranked (Class 2A) Kimball Area. Tied for fifth place in Sub-District III are Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and Browerville, who are both 2-2 overall.
