School dismissing early (VIDEO - Sports Show! RISE UP!)
B-B-E schools will be closing at 10:30 a.m. today. The buildings will dismiss at separate times. No evening activities.
Here's a link where you can follow through and take in our lighted Christmas parade held in Brooten on Saturday night! https://bit.ly/3HDGCFu. It was such a magical night. I'm still basking in the glow of it all five days later.
How's the digging out going?? This is heavy, wet snow, the type we usually see in March.
AND here is my fifth winter sports show of the season!
More to come. I have a sports show recorded, but I'm now facing all sorts of technical difficulties!! Grr!
SO I overcame the tech troubles and got the sports show posted. Here's my thoughts on what I hope you can accomplish on a day where the kids are home from school and there are no activities tonight. This can go for anyone, especially if you're a student-athlete!
1.) Thrive on the extra family time; play a game of cards, a board game, watch a Christmas movie!
2.) Do something physical like build a snow castle or snowman, or if you're indoors something as simple as some jumping jacks or jogging in place! We have a small workout studio in our basement with a Pro Form treadmill and a bench press. Money well spent!
3.) If you're a student-athlete, go on YouTube and watch a game! Watch something! Anything! Get your mind in the game. Don't punch out too far, because competition is right around the corner...trust me. It will happen tomorrow!
4.) Keep your rest up, your fluid intake up and eat some greens! Let's be in peak health heading towards the Christmas break!
5.) READ! Read anything! Study something. Expand your mind! This is for anyone who is old enough to read!
I might have more ideas later tonight. I just got done building a large tower/snowman with one of my daughters. I am going to REST!
*Here's a clip I haven't posted from the girls' basketball season opener...
With action at about the 4 minute mark in the second half, the Jaguars had already started subbing down with the win well in hand over Melrose. And let's go to a week ago...I was watching some of my video from Holdingford...and the game was tied 2-2 with 13:36 left in the first half!!! That's crazy.
**AND the announcement came out around 8:30 p.m. tonight...B-B-E will start two hours late tomorrow, Friday, December 16.
