Baseball plays today
The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team will finally get their match up with the neighboring rival Paynesville Area Bulldogs. The two teams will square off today in a conference game in Elrosa starting at 4:30 p.m. The sun is shining strong!
Game update...the Jaguars fell behind 8-2 after the Bulldogs scored once in the top of the seventh inning. Three runs came across in the bottom of the seventh before a shallow pop fly was caught by Paynesville's pitcher to end the game with two stranded.
Final score: #5 Paynesville Area 8, B-B-E 5. The Jaguars played tough, but the Bulldogs had 4 extra-base hits and 11 hits overall compared to B-B-E earning 7 hits but just one for an extra base (a double by Brett DeRoo). The Bulldogs also took advantage of 5 B-B-E errors while having just one on their part.
The baseball team's next game is on Monday at Kingery Field in Atwater against the A-C-GC Falcons.
Now we shift our attention to prom! B-B-E's prom is tomorrow, Saturday, with grand march at 3:30 p.m. at the high school.
