Section playoff semifinals set (VIDEOS*)
A video was added here late on Wednesday afternoon...
The last four teams standing in Section 4A are now set. In tonight's quarterfinal round, the Browerville Tigers defeated visiting Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 43-14. This means that our B-B-E Jaguars football team knows its opponent for their playoff opener. The Jaguars (7-1) and Browerville (6-3) will meet in the Section 4A semifinals this Saturday, October 26 at 2 p.m. at our house at the B-B-E high school football stadium.

I posted that video last weekend, but it hasn't gotten many views yet. Now I return to publishing the October 24 newspaper issue. Additional notes will be added to this blog post on Wednesday morning.

**Also! there is not radio coverage for the volleyball match on Wednesday night. The match starts in our house at 7 p.m.!
State tennis tournament updates:
At the Class 1A state tournament today, the Litchfield Dragons girls' tennis team defeated Montevideo 5-2. In another quarterfinal state match, the Crookston Pirates defeated Providence Academy 5-2 (way to go public schools!)...now Litchfield and Crookston will meet in the semifinals tomorrow morning at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis. Litchfield is the No. 3 seed, while Crookston is the No. 2 seed.

In Murdock for the Section 5AA playoffs, Royalton trailed 14-0 before scoring a touchdown before halftime to trail 14-6. They scored 16 unanswered points in the second half to end K-M-S's season. Jett Olson carried the ball 31 times for a whopping 233 rushing yards, but it was not enough to overcome three lost fumbles.
