Frigid shooting dooms Jaguars at Minnewaska
Another game with ice-cold shooting spelled trouble for the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team in their third straight non-conference border battle to open the new season. The Lakers built a commanding 41-21 lead tonight at halftime on their way to a 59-40 win.
Next: the Jaguars (1-2) look to get back to .500 when they travel to Brandon-Evansville high school this Saturday for afternoon sub-section action against the Chargers. The varsity tip-off in Brandon is set for about 3:15 p.m. This is a girls/boys doubleheader with the boys' basketball game set for about 5 p.m.
Also on Thursday this week, the boys' basketball team will host Minnewaska Area.
