Fish Fry fundraiser tonight (VIDEO)

The B-B-E Knights of Columbus will hold the first of three Lenten season fish fry fundraisers tonight at the KaDe Shack in Brooten. They will be serving all-you-can-eat fish from 5 to 8 p.m. Ticket sales for their cash raffle is also underway. The Knights of Columbus organization is one of numerous local civic groups who support multiple events and activities - and families in need - across our Bonanza Valley area.

It is time to support them in return!!!

Here's a video recorded about a year ago (February 23) from the first Knights of Columbus fish fry of the 2024 Lenten season:

More to come. It is too nice outside to be on a computer! We have 71 degrees as of about 4 p.m. in Brooten.

At the Class 1A state girls' basketball tournament today, both lower-seeded teams in the semifinals earned huge upset wins. In the first semifinal, No. 5-seeded West Central Area took out top-seeded Goodhue 58-50. In the other semifinal, No. 7-seeded MACCRAY stunned No. 3-seeded Sleepy Eye St. Mary's with a hard-fought 60-56 win. The Knights held a 36-28 lead with 15 minutes to go in the game. MACCRAY later tied it at 46-46 and then took over the game across the last 5 minutes.

Stunning, near crazy facts: for MACCRAY, they have just 2 seniors on the roster. For the SESM Knights, they have just one senior.
