In an early season battle of Stearns County League North unbeatens, the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team suffered a 4-3 loss to Spring Hill on the home diamond today. After staking a 3-0 lead through six innings, the Saints fell into a tie with the Chargers when the visitors (playing as the home team) plated 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning. The game-winner was scored in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the 10th. Dylan Gertken's RBI-single scored Ethan Meyer from third base to end the game.
It was an incredibly evenly-matched game. Both teams had 10 hits. Luke Illies led Elrosa by going 3-for-5 with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Elrosa left 16 runners stranded, while Spring Hill left 10 runners stranded.
