Mark it down: six straight wins! (VIDEO)
The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team extended their current winning streak to six with a 19-0 five-inning win tonight against Hancock. The non-conference win at Saints Field in Elrosa capped the two-day Max Bats Wood Bat Invitational, which also included Brandon-Evansville and Browerville.
The Owls, who defeated Browerville 10-0 in five innings yesterday in Elrosa, struggled mightily in the field with 6 errors. At the plate, they had just one hit as they fell to 5-7 overall.
B-B-E batters were struck out just 3 times across 4 1/2 innings. They racked up 19 hits, and these Jaguars all had 2 hits each: Brett DeRoo, Luke Illies, Ethan Mueller, Hayden Sobiech, Tyler Myers and Noah DeRoo.
Next: now 10-4 overall, the Jaguars host Eden Valley-Watkins in a huge Central Minnesota Conference game this Monday, May 12 in Elrosa. First pitch is at 4 p.m. EV-W is 8-7 overall and 6-5 in the CMC. As it stands, Paynesville Area, Holdingford and B-B-E are in a virtual tie for first place with three CMC losses each. The Bulldogs are technically out in front with a 9-3 record.
Here's a video from the 4th inning last night against Brandon-Evansville:
