Coach Klaphake earns Coach of the Year honors

The baseball coaches of Section 6A have selected B-B-E head coach Ben Klaphake with the Coach of the Year honors. This is tremendous news! Coach Klaphake assumed the head coaching title prior to the 2023 season. He took over the program from Pat Illies, who was head coach from 2013 through the 2022 season. As I am at the school board meeting now, I will have to write more about this in the upcoming issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.

In other local news...
ANNOUNCEMENT: the Brooten Farmers Market, which is still seeking vendors to join, will open the 2025 season on Thursday, June 26 at the city park shelter and gazebo. The Farmers Market runs from 4 to 7 p.m., and it continues on Thursdays through July, August and into September. Additional information is forthcoming in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Please pass the word to your friends and family to come to Brooten on Thursday nights!

**Tuesday this week is devoted 100% to state trapshooting and finishing the June 12 issue of the newspaper.
